Skin Care Review: Microdermabrasion

by Anonymous, philadelphia, PA USA

No effect

My skin felt smooth after treatment.

Expensive and time consuming.

For the cost I would have expected a lasting result. Even after the recommended 6 treatments, I didn't notice any permanent smoothing or any change in fine lines. Sometimes my skin felt a bit irritated after treatment, but that did go away quickly. My skin did feel a bit smoother after each treatment, but no different from what I have felt following an at-home scrub or deep-cleansing or exfoliating mask. From my experience, I'd say microdermabrasion is not worth the time and money as an anti-aging treatment. (It may be effective for other conditions, like dark spots or large pores, neither of which I have).

If you are looking for an anti-aging treatment, use something less expensive.
