I used the hand held device following the directions. The day after I exfoliated I had some areas that were irritated. The cream with the granules left my skin with a stinging feeling. I thought I might have overdone it. I let my skin heal and tried again. I had the same reaction the second time. I tried it one more time with only the cream Using my fingers and not using the scrubbing device. After I experienced the same outcome I determined that the product was incompatible with my skin.

Conclusions
I did not test the product before I used it. I suggest that you start with a patch test.
