Skin Care Review: Susan Lucci Youthful Essence

by Ruth, Orlando, FL, USA

Rating
Good

Benefits
Exfoliates, smoothes the skin

Drawbacks
Need to wash off w/ another product (ie. gentle soap)

Details
I started using this product years ago. I believe it was one of the first home microdermabrasion products around for its time. I don't really like the battery operated device and find that just using your fingers gives you more control (if you don't want the gritty crystals scrubbing your fingers use gloves). I keep this around as one of my favorites, but times have changed and I prefer Borghese Pelle Rinnovo Polish another oldie too (hard to find at times), Origins Modern Friction (as a gentler microdermabrasion is ok). I have tried Dr. Brandt's and it's a bit over-rated by the younger gals I find I still prefer Borghese as it is more "gritty" and Brandt's is not as effective (IMAO). Lucci's is good as a "back-up" tried and true "scrub". However, a bit greasy to wash off. I plan on trying Estee Lauder's Idealist Skin Finisher as I have seen the reviews and this one sounds like a winner. Plus when I was trying to find the Borghese one the countergirl suggested I move to the Estee Lauder counter. Borghese what's wrong w/ you guys...you do have a great product w/ that Pelle Rinnovo Polish! Lucci still keeping yours around. Improve on it more and you may have a new generation of users (maybe change the name to something else)!

Conclusions
Still keeping this reliable "oldie" around, but trying other new generation products.
