Skin Care Review: Clinique All About Eyes

by H.V., Waterloo, Ontario Canada

Rating
Good

Benefits
It reduces puffy lids and under-eye circles.

Drawbacks
None so far.

Details
For the past year or so have been searching for an eye cream that would diminish or reduce my under-eye circles and/or puffiness. Specifically, I have been looking for a cream that would offer both results (not only one) and that would not leave my skin congested. So far the eye creams I have tried several eye-treatments from department stores or drugstores (Chanel, Vichy, Biotherem, L’Oreal…) that gave me results in one area only and they were usually incompatible when I wanted to get rid of both problems. Most often then not, they have left my skin looking rather congested as the amount of small tiny light coloured bumps in the lower eyelid increased with their effectiveness. Unfortunately, lowering the amount of the product did not help in the decongesting the eye area and I was ready to blame it all on my generally highly temperamental combination skin.

About a week ago I received a sample of Clinique’s All About The Eyes cream in a bonus as I was trying to better my day with Clinique make-up. I have used it for a week and my dark circles are diminished, the puffiness in my lids is reduced, the area is decongesting and my skin looks smoother and glowing. I can only hope the effects are going to last.

The cream (still) works, I would however recommend it for normal to combination skin, as it might be too much for oily eyelids and not enough for dry skin.

Conclusions
It seems to work for normal to combination skin.
