Skin Care Review: Neutrogena Visibly Firm face lotion SPF 20 with Active Copper

by Ana, WA United States

SPF 20. Leaves skin soft and moisturized. Skin seems to feel firmer and 'lifted'.

The price($18/1.7oz)left me feeling a bit guilty after buying it.

I am impressed with this lotion. It leaves skin soft, moisturized, and fresh feeling. The formula is light and absorbs nicely, not at all heavy. My combination skin(dry cheeks, more oily forehead, nose, and chin)is sometimes hard for me to use only one product on, but I like using this lotion all over my face and neck. It moisturizes enough on dry areas, and is not too greasy on oily areas. The SPF 20 is, as we all know, essential, but what sells me on this product is the copper. The more I read about the benefits of copper peptide, the more I like it. It acts as an anti-oxidant, promotes collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid(found naturally in young skin). It is also healing, so it dosen't irritate skin like alpha hydroxys, or Retin-A can at first, yet is said to show results faster. I would recommend anyone interested in this to do some research of their own. This website has good, unbiased information, as does WebMD. I'm 23 years old, so it's hard to say I've seen an improvement with sagging or wrinkles, but I imagine the product would have positive results on those skin types. I'm not sure if the 'Active Copper' in the Visibly Firm lotion is the same as 'Copper Peptide', but I really do feel like this lotion is doing good things for my skin.

I recommend it for all ages and skin types.
