Triluma is a treatment for melasma which is discoloration on the face.

Drawbacks
Expensive. Can't be used for more than 8 weeks at a time

Triluma is a great treatment for Melasma but is $$. Melasma is recurrent and requires me to also use a high SPF daily and a sun visor when in sunlight.

Triluma is applied only to the area requiring treatment, at night. I try to apply about 1/2 hour before bedtime so my pillow does not absorb too much.

Triluma works quickly (improvement in several weeks).

Triluma will not prevent further melasma since melasma is recurrent.

The steroid component requires use not be too long term because of steroid related side effects will not create a new problem.

Conclusions
Triluma is great! Unfortunately melasma recurs and is not a cure.
