Skin Care Review: triluma

by ana quiles, philadelphia, PA 19152

Rating
No effect

Benefits
it made my skin a little firmer or at least it seemed to.

Drawbacks
had to constantly reapply sunscreen since it makes you more prone to sunburn

Details
i'm a 37 year old female latina with fair skin and dark hair. i went to a dermatologist because of concerns with some facial darkening on my cheeks forehead and chin which he diagnosed as melasma. i underwent several IPL treatments and was prescriped Triluma to help the discoloration lighten up. i used it for 3 months and it made my skin peel a lot and also sting. after 8 weeks i did not see any lightening, it actually got worst. i was very diligent in wearing total block sunscreen, so i know its not because of sun expose. i reapplied my sunscreen several times a day and i even used sunscreen indoors at the office. the product caused a lot of peeling, actually made my acne worst and did not get rid of my hyperpigmentation. my dermatologist told me to use it for an extra month (since its a 8 week treatment course) in total i used it for 16 weeks and no results. my dermatologist now told me to try Epiquin Micro. so now i have this new prescription which i am going to try he said this might work but no guarantees. i will keep you informed of the results of this one.

Conclusions
it didn't work for me. I recommend doing a lot of research on products before you use them.
