Skin Care Review: Christian Dior skinflash (skin highlighter)

by Anonymous

Rating
Excellent

Benefits
THE best cosmetic product to highlight those problem areas/dark circles

Drawbacks
Quite expensive but cheaper and better i think than the competition:YSL touche eclat

Details
Having tried so many different products to lighten the circles under my eyes to no avail..i discovered as many in my position do..Yves st laurent touche eclat/radiant touch. This is not so much a concealer as a highlighter..its alot lighter than a concealer and has light reflecting properties and is great for under the eyes...sides of the nose..above the lips..indent of the chin..lines from nose to mouth etc etc...wherever the skin is a little darker and less radiant. Most people have heard of this product and its very popular..its main drawback in the UK has been its only available in one shade which is slightly pinky..and me being olive toned it wasnt ideal..but did such a good job i put up with it..lol!

Ok so this review is about christian diors skinflash so why have i rambled on about YSL touche eclat...basically because most people have heard of this whereas the dior is new...and since diors skinflash is basically their version of this it was easier to refer to initially. So christian diors skinflash as with YSL's product, is a highlighter..with light reflecting particles etc etc the wand application is similar except its a twist action rather than a button at the end to get the product on the brush tip. It comes in 3 shades..and personally i found it smoother to apply& a more sheer natural result than YSL's one and it didnt crease or cake even after it had been on all day. It also seemed to have a slightly plumping effecting aswell which aided diminishing the look of dark areas..it just seems to brighten up your whole face :O) I am 29 and dont have wrinkles yet but it is designed for lines too...due to its non creasing, lightweight&light reflecting nature it detracts from these too :O) If i dont have time to put make up on ill use this alone to look bare skinned but even and radiant..it can be used over foundation too..i personally would not be without it :O)If you havnt tried touche eclat or this before id recommend either...but this i found better personally. If you currently use YSL id give it a try...the dior assistant at any store should happily apply some for you&see what you think..thats how i discovered it myself :O)

Conclusions
If you havnt tried it i would hugely recommend that you do :O)
