Skin Care Review: Neutrogena Moisture

by Enaya Gad

Rating
Excellent

Benefits
Sun protection with long lasting moisturization for glowing skin.

Drawbacks
None really. Just don't apply too much so skin does not appear oily.

Details
It took one month of thorough research to discover this product. I am in my thirties and I began to critically look at my skin for the first time -- as well as look at everyones skin around me. I tried to recall what my skin looked like in my twenties while observing young girls complections to help me remember. My skin was lacking in lustre even though I was doing so much else right (ok food, daily walks, sufficient sleep, and reasonable stress handling). I was determined to get to the bottom of it. First I bought lots of top notch makeup, and it seemed no matter how light I applied it, the underlying problem was the skin! My skin itself needed a cure. I was avoiding the issue. So I moved on to proper cleansing (steaming and mud application, along with exfoliation)and finally moisturiation. I tried a number of moisturizers and they didn't give the result I was looking for. For example the Nivea Simply Glowing gave an unnatural yellow tint to my face. I wasn't satisfied. Then I fell into the Neutogena Moisture SPF 15, and bang, there it was! It looked like I had nothing at all on my face -- like it was naturally this suppulant. I now know that makeup on bad skin gives bad results --it even made me look older. Now I focus on a solid regiment of facial cleansing and I sparingly put Neutrogena Moisture. You don't want to put to much because it will make your face look oily. I rub a small amount quickly onto my face and use a translucent blusher over the moisturizer. I can't describe how succesful the result has been. If a blush is applied on dry skin you look horrific. But two strokes of blush on each cheak on top of Neutrogena Moisture -- lets the blush naturally absorb well into the skin. This moisturizer lets your skin radiate naturally all day long (forget about make up to let your skin radiate). You apply it once in the morning and it lasts for twelve hours. I have never found a moisturizer that can last all day like this. I even told my mom about it!

Conclusions
Make up is not the secret to young looking skin. A good moisturizer is.
