Although I'm 45, I still have very oily facial skin, and for years, I've tried various ways to achieve a natural, non-greasy, healthy skin look. In my 20s, I used benzoyl peroxide cream, which gave me a matte finish, but bleached my pillowcases and clothes, plus it was overly drying. In my 30s, I broke down and started using matte and oil control foundations, but once the oil broke through, it emulsified the foundation into a muddy sludge, which rubbed off on everything (my collar, my boyfriend...). For the past several years, I've been using Clinac O.C. to keep the oil at bay. Although it's called a gel, it's more like a white, translucent cream, and goes on shiny, but dries in a few minutes to a nice matte finish. It keeps the oil away for about half a day, but that's longer than other products have worked for me. You can still use a foundation over it if you wish, but this has enabled me to go without it.

Conclusions
A good solution for oily skin, with no irritation whatsoever.
