I received six laser treatments for rosacea, and although I do not know the name of the exact laser (it was a IPL), the clinic I went to (a dermatologist/laser clinic in Pasadena California on Green Street) reccomended the specific laser they thought would be helpful. After the series of treatments (over a period of months), I essentially felt as if I did not have rosacea. My skin looked tighter, firmer, the fine lines around my eyes were gone. My pores looked smaller, and overall, my skin looked much younger, clearer... thicker actually. The redness was basically gone (although I still blush easily, frequently and darkly - but there is no redness that remains). If anything, my skin felt a little too white. However, it did leave a couple of areas of uneven pigment upon my cheeks - easily covered up with a very thin make-up. Even uncovered, the uneven pigment doesn't bother me hardly at all - overall, my skin just looks much healthier.

Conclusions
For rosacea/photo aged skin, I recommend looking into intense pulsed laser treatments
