Skin Care Review: Olay Regenerist Night

by Allison, New Orleans, LA USA

Rating
Excellent

Benefits
Younger, tighter skin that appears revitalized

Drawbacks
Requires regular use for benefits to continue. May not be suitable for oily skin.

Details
The subtitle of the label on this product is "Continuous Night Recovery Moisturiizing Treatment." The label on the rear states that it increases nightly cell regeneration. Despite the fact that this product is marketed as a moisturizer, it did fulfill its promise of being a "mini-face lift in a jar." I had some leftover swelling in my upper lid and a bag under my eye from a fall onto my orbital bone over a year before I began using he product. I bought a Jane Iredale Magic Mitt to make it easier to remove makeup at night and gave it a try. To my surprise, a few weeks after using the product, the bag under my eye was virtually gone and the swelling in my upper lid was lessened to an extent that it was virtually unnoticeable to anyone not familiar with the previous condition. I was uncertain which product caused the vast improvement, for I was using the entire Regenerist Line and had also added Avotone to my regimen. I stopped using the products and the bag under my eye returned. I had not used Avotone for over a week and applied Regenerist and awoke to find the "bag" gone and the swelling in the upper lid dramatically diminished. With proper rest and regular use on a clean face, this product is remarkable. And a great deal less expensive than products such as Avotone.

Conclusions
At $17-20, it is certainly worth a try.
