Skin Care Review: Philosophy microdelivery peel (the great one)

by Monica, Plano, TX US

Rating
Excellent

Benefits
Refreshes skin by exfoliating and delivering vitamin C and peptides

Drawbacks
No drawbacks from my experience

Details
As I approach my forties (at 37 and holding right now) I'm finding myself more and more interested (or should I say rather obsessed) with the care of my skin. Although I've been very faithful in following a good regimen for over five years now I am increasingly concerned about the effect aging is going to have on me some day soon. My belief is that the better my skin looks, the less makeup I have to wear and that is a huge plus! I hate foundation and would much rather go for a natural glow with accents here and there - for day wear anyway.

So my whole reason in purchasing the Philosophy product was in fact to achieve that "natural glow" by using something that would promote smoothness, even tone, and exfoliate without being rough. I really enjoy using this "peel" - I think it does exactly what it states it will.

It's a little two-step system that really feels good to use - micro crystals of bicarbonate vitamin C are the exfoliation tool - the instructions are to rub (gently) for no more than a minute but if your skin is not super sensitve, there's no reason you can't indulge for at least 2 or 3. Once you've finished your rubbing/exfoliating, the rapid activation gel (2nd step) as its applied to your face over the C crystals foams up a bit with a warming sensation and then you commence blending that into the rest of the product. Feels heavenly, smells like an orange, and you can then leave the mixture on for really as long as you like and then rinse off and enjoy your sparkling skin!

Conclusions
Great after late nights, long weeks, or anything that's left your face feeling dull!
