It has colorless zinc oxide, and as mentioned elsewhere, you don't need to gob it on, so it doesn't give a white cast. I have to say it worked so well last summer that I didn't get my usual dark patches (melasma?) I have fair skin and come from two generations of skin cancer, yet I love the outdoors, so this is great for me to have something I actually use on my face. And I don't have to worry about whether hydroquinone is safe anymore, I don't need it. I almost put this under the anti-aging treatments category, because it is going to do as much or more than anything else topical to prevent skin aging. But you knew that already, that's why you're looking for a good sunscreen.

Conclusions
Costs more, but worth it for anti-aging!
