I went to Dr. Hanson for a second opinion on two spots of basal cell skin cancer. The first doctor I saw was referred to me by my medical doctor. She wanted to immediately remove the 2 spots for $10,000, and could not guarantee she would get it all the first time. I found out about Dr. Hanson from a friend who was seeing him for basal cell skin cancer. Dr. Hanson gave me several options. The least invasive and less expensive option was his recommendation, which was to use Aldara (a topical chemotherapy) that costs $200. Now, 9 months later, the skn cancer is still gone, and I saved $9,800. Furthermore, had Dr. Hanson discovered I would require surgery, the cost was only $4,000 with a guarantee he got it, using Mohs surgery. I am now seeing him for Pulsed Light Photofacials, and expect to use him for all my skin care needs and desires.
