Details
I thought the Botox injections were relatively fast and not all that painful. I did have immediate bruising but I wasn't surprised since I'd read about that possibility and I do take a lot of Naprosyn for arthritis pain. Hey, don't age, wrinkles and arthritis go together?? Anyway, what I did find surprising was my droopy eyelids, three days later. They were caused by the shots in the wrinkles above my eyebrows. Apparently, I'm "very sensitive" to Botox, according to my doctor. He said he'd seen that happen in only one other patient. For point of reference, my doctor injected 30 units into my forehead taking care of the eleven between the eyes and the lower half. I have bangs so I wasn't that worried about the top half and I wanted to start with less rather than more.

Botox worked very well at smoothing out my wrinkles but I doubt that I'll be getting it again. Now that I know what I'll look like in a few years when my eyes droop on their own, I think I'll be saving up for an eyelift.

Conclusions
All in all, it was very depressing to spend $500 and wind up looking worse.
