Details
I had 6 IPL treatments over the course of 15 months (about 1.5 months apart). Dr. Tsai increased the intensity of the treatments as it became clear that my skin was responding well. Prior to the treatments I had very sun damaged skin (freckles, discoloration). The IPL treatments dramatically improved my coloring and texture.
There is some downtime associated with the higher intensity treatments. My skin became red and irritated and then the freckles would become darker and flake off over the next week. I was able to hid it with makeup, but it was about 7 days before I felt that I saw the results.
Conclusions
I would highly recommend this treatment for fair-skinned people.
