Went to Jeffrey S. McClanahan "M.D." for perlane (restylane) injections of facial scarring. The following is the post procedure letter that I sent:

Dear Dr. McClanahan, I just received a “Cliniskin Birthday Buck” in the mail from your office. Unfortunately, due my experience during my last visit a few months ago, it is unlikely that I will ever be returning to you for any cosmetic procedures and/or consultations. During my visit, which was for Perlane injections for facial scar filling, I was disappointed with both your demeanor and the implementation of the treatment. During the procedure you acted as if what you were doing was petty and below your talents. You referred to the filling as “tedious”, and your tone was consistent with that description. You also said that you prefer to do procedures which were more gratifying to you, such as liposuction and blepharoplasty. Afterwards though, it was obvious that the procedure was, in fact, not below your talents, as the results were disappointing at best. Certain areas you missed altogether, others were over or under-filled, and others you filled in next to the scar, instead of below it. I know this procedure can be done well and with finesse, as I have had it done before with a different doctor, and the results were excellent as compared to those after my treatment with you. It is indeed unfortunate since Perlane is the only filler that works for me, and it is hard to find here in the States. Instead of using the “Birthday Buck” for more mistreatment, I would instead like to request a full refund for the Perlane procedure which was performed with what I percieve as incompetence and indifference. I recall the procedure was about $550. Respectfully,

That describes my experience with this horrible "doctor". But his reply was even more unbelievable. He wrote me a letter accusing me of "slander" and said he was forwarding the letter to his lawyer! Needless to say, I did not get a refund. It is tragic that most doctors today put profit and litigation before customer / patient satisfaction. CHOOSE YOUR DERM / DOCTOR WISELY!!!!

Conclusions
I would highly recommend against seeking treatment by Jeffrey S. McClanahan "M.D."
