I had several precancerous lesions on my face - not visible to anyone but my doctor with his little microscope - but I have fair skin so didn't want to risk things getting worse. The chemical peel prescribed was a cream I believe called Carac. I washed my face every night, and put it all over (because I couldn't really tell where the lesions were), and then in the morning, washed again. My face looked like I had severe sunburn, and I couldn't smile because it felt like my skin would crack. I then began to use vaseline on my face to try to help the pain, and it did help. Eventually the three week treatment was over. It took about another 2-3 weeks to get back to normal. I didn't see much in the way of wrinkle reduction, but my skin was smoother for sure.

Conclusions
I would only do this chemical peel if I had precancerous lesions, not for just wrinkles!
