Radiesse injected into eye hollows and nasolabial folds--took years off face

bruised for 2 mo's. Dark area under eyes where skin was bruised black, may be permanent.

Details
Dr. Bligh is a kind, unassuming physician (internist) with a botique practice in St. Louis. He has an associated clinic for a variety of cosmetic procedures staffed by RN's, but he performs all injections, for which he has been trained and certified. I knew he wanted a good result for me, and performed it carefully. I think drawbacks of the procedure itself were the difficulty decided when you are 'done' in any area, because of the inherent swelling at the time. He has a followup visit for after the swelling has gone down, for any touchups required. In addition to the extreme (yes, I mean extreme) purple to black bruising, I had to wear dermablend medical-grade foundation to appear at my job and in public, and even then was 'shy' for many days. Even now I must use it to cover the two remaining dark areas, under each eye. Also, there is a little bulge of radiesse under my right eye that I am going in to have smoothed into the surrounding area. I am hoping that part of the bruising was due to repeated needle jabs, and that fewer this time around will reduce the bruising. I hear that some practices give arnica to reduce bruising, which may help (Dr. Bligh does not). I used cold gel pads they provided for compression.

Conclusions
I would still do it again because the radiesse took years off my face.
