I would recommend that you consider the freezing of the darker age spots that are bothersome. I have tried it, and once the first week went by and I got past the darkened areas and "scabs," the areas of new skin underneath were pink, and then finally more of a normal skin tone. All in all, it took about a month for my skin to look normal. It is funny, because now the lighter spots that were on my face are now more easily noticed. I am now trying tretinoin for the wrinkles on my face. I haven't been using it long, so I haven't experienced any of the peeling, drying side effects that people speak of, and it is too soon to say whether it will work on the wrinkles.

Conclusions
I would try the "freezing" of the dark age spots again
