I had a one hour facial at this spa that was wonderful - no hype or pretentious claims, just excellent customer service and valid communication of information. The facial included a gentle cleansing, massage, a mask followed by 10-15 minutes of steam and extraction. I had very few extractions, but my friend who went with me had a significant number of them and left feeling so much better about her skin and her self. During this step I was told about my skin texture and quality and about simple ways to care for my skin. My friend was told she needed to do this every 4-8 weeks for awhile until her pores were clear. The last step was cleansing and moisturizing. At the end of the facial I was given an opportunity to ask questions. At no time was I pressured about skin care products or rituals, despite the fact that the front lobby was full of products they sold to customers. I asked about my wrinkled areas around my eyes, mid forehead and mouth - she suggested Vitamin A as a topical application and explained the reasoning behind this, particularly about accelerating collagen production. I have my PhD in nursing and after researching this, I found that she was right and had not mislead me at all about ways to better care for my aging skin. This spa was a wonderful experience - the facial massage and cleansing process left my skin more radiant, vibrant and soft. I'll be back for more!
