Details
I went to Sensational Skin for treatment of my acne, looking for recommendations for skin care products, laser treatments (smoothbeam), photofacial, pore cleaning, and/or antibiotic/accutane usage. In my initial consultation, they directed me to a room and turned on a video for Obagi Nu-Derm, then expected me to pay the $500 for the whole system right away, saying that it was the ONLY way I would ever get rid of my acne. My second appointment started the exact same way, and when I told the staff (a different one from the "specialist" they assigned me the first time) that I was reluctant to start the system, she gave me a very condescending lecture. EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. The pushiest (and RUDEST) sales staff I've encountered. The actual m.d. involved only sees patients on saturday and is an anesthesiologist, NOT a dermatologist or plastic surgeon.
Conclusions
STAY AWAY from this scam of a "medispa". Go to a legitimate M.D. instead.
