I had a car accident a couple years ago. A sizeable area of my face suffered from abrasion when the driver side airbag exploded. I could not really put a bandage on the face, and the burning sensation was unbearable. I applied Chap Stick to the wound, which soothed the burning immediately and helped the healing process dramatically. I kept the wound moist all the time with Chap Stick.
