Skin Care Tip: Nighttime wrinkle prevention tip

submitted by Mary Robertson

One of the best ways I've found to prevent wrinkles is to sleep on your back (side benefit: it's good for your back). It's a bit hard to get used to, but it's worth it. You'll get up looking fresh and relaxed. When you sleep on your side or stomach, your facial skin gets pushed up and creased. If you stay in this position for several hours it creates wrinkles or deepens existing one, especially if you sleep in the same positions (like most people do). As we get older the skin loses its flexibility and the effects of sleeping on your face are similar to the effect of sleeping on an ironed shirt - it wrinkles. Try it - you'll see the difference, guaranteed. I've been doing it for years and I hardly have any wrinkles.
