Skin Care Tip: Tea for Puffy Eyes

submitted by Sara, TN

Tip description / details:
You now those mornings when you wake up, dismayed to see your eyes magically poofed up overnight. You can try creams, cold compresses etc. but a remedy that has been in my family for years only requires 10-15 minutes and two tea bags. Simply grab two tea bags and dampen them SLIGHTLY (you don't want tea dripping all over your face!) Then place the tea bags underneath your eyes and wait. I swear this really works and will reduce the swelling.

Ingredients:

How to prepare:
Dampen the tea bags slightly and place one under each eye. Preferably use a flavor of tea that you enjoy. I always use white tea -- my favorite!

How to use:
Keep the tea bags on for 10-15 minutes and voila... some of the puffiness disappears.

Results (observed by submitter):
It works every time. It's not a treatment I'd recommend everyday. However, if you were crying the night before, itching your eyes, or just EXTREMELY tired... the soothing tea will work wonders for you.

Costs involved:
