Skin Care Tip: Lactic acid for dry, ashy skin

submitted by Anonymous

For dry, ashy skin, lotions with lactic acid lotions may help. They worked for me. Apparently, my skin doesn't slough naturally (at least not efficiently). One of the tell-tale signs is fish scale ashiness. That's when you have dryness that sort of looks like a cracked dessert floor. Initially, I had to have a prescription. Now, lactic acid can be found in a variety of over the counter lotions. Since I've been using lotions with lactic acid, my skin is much softer and a bit firmer too.
