Skin Care Tip: Moisturizing oily skin with natural oils

submitted by Susan Barbella, Port Jefferson Station, NY USA

I have learned that the best moisturizers for oily skin are botanical oils. Yes! Oil! Botanical oils are very close to the oils in the skin and therefore do not cause breakouts. I personally use jojoba oil but emu oil is very good as well. Jojoba oil has normalized my oil production and at the same time kept my face smooth and hydrated. I have very large pores that were constantly congested. I used to have to get facials and microdermabrasion treatments to keep my face clean. Since using jojoba oil, my pores appear smaller and are not congested. Emu and almond oil are just as good as jojoba but are not as readily available. You can find pure jojoba oil at just about any health food store for a very moderate price.
