Skin Care Tip: Salt scrub

submitted by Lara, Fontana, CA USA

Tip description / details:
I keep a small dish (a Japanese leaf dish from a Sushi dining supply from kitchen) in my bath. Almost every day I fill the dish with about 3/4 of a cup of salt. I drip a couple of drops of essential oils (I like the blue gum a lot because it's energizing and it really gets me going) into the salt. I mix up the salt so it absorbs the essential oil and then use it as a scrub over my entire body. It exfoliates and energizes.

Ingredients:
Sodium chloride (NaCl) a.k.a. table salt; Essential Oil of Eucalyptus or whatever you want (just a few drops)

How to prepare:
Drop a couple of essential oil drops onto the salt and mix it up.

How to use:
Apply the scrub with your hands, sponge or scrubber. Don't forget the feet.

Results (observed by submitter):
It makes the skin soft and silky and the benefits of aromatherapy are a bonus. Try orange blossom with eucalyptus for a kick.

Costs involved:
