Homemade Skin Care Recipe: Moisturizing bath for softer skin

submitted by danielle cooke, dayton, OH usa

Tip description / details:
You can easily make yourself a moisturizing bath using either dry milk or oatmeal.

Ingredients:
1/4 to 1/2 cup of powdered skim milk; 1/4 to 1/2 cup of instant oatmeal; a piece of cheese cloth (or thin cotton fabric)

How to prepare:
1) Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of dry skim milk to your bath water while running. Much less expensive than buying the milk bath products sold in the store. If you want it scented, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. 2) Place 1/4 to 1/2 cup of instant oatmeal in a piece of cheesecloth (thin cotton fabric) and close with a rubber band or twist tie. Put in bath water while running.

How to use:
Use either of these to prevent dry skin while bathing, especially in the winter time. Just lay back and relax.

Results (observed by submitter):
Softer skin.

Costs involved:
$5 - $10
