Homemade Skin Care Recipe: Moisturizing Bath

submitted by Tom, Oklahoma City, OK USA

Tip description / details:
Having been in the beauty business for many years, I have found that moisturizing in a warm bath can have the same deep moisturizing properties as a heated lotion treatment. This is often done for the hands where a lotion is applied and a heating pad in the shape of a glove is slipped over the hand for 10 minutes.

Ingredients:
1. Bottle of good moisturizing shampoo (I use the quart size of tresseme from Walmart for $3.84); safflower oil; coconut oil; glycerin. Fragrance as desired.

How to prepare:
Add 4 tablespoons of glycerin, 8 tablespoons of safflower oil, 1 tablespoon coconut oil and fragrance to 1 quart of shampoo.

How to use:
Shake bottle a bit to insure it is mixed and place 1 to 2 tablespoons under running warm water. Take a soaking bath and enjoy.

Results (observed by submitter):
You will be wonderfully relaxed and your skin will feel silky smooth.

Costs involved:
