Weight Loss Tip: Glycemic Index based diet

submitted by Nancy Lamb, DeLand, FL USA

I have noticed that as I age, my weight is staying the same but is shifting more to my middle! I started following "The GI Diet" (Glycemic Index) and it seems to have made a huge difference - both in how I look and more importantly how I feel! The author, Rick Gallop, is the former head of the Canadian equivalent to the American Heart Association. I guess I shouldn't call it a diet because it is a way to eat healthy for the rest of your life. It is very easy to follow. Foods are listed by red, yellow or green lights. Green is unlimited, yellow eat with caution & red are supposed to be off limits. It is a diet that eliminates white flour and stresses the complex carbs (brown rice, whole grains, etc). There is a website www.gidiet.com, that has great recipes & you can sign up for a seasonal newsletter.

I find that I am not hungry, feel more satisfied & lose weight! I feel much better and have lost 29 pounds!
