Weight Loss Tip: Lift weight to loose weight

submitted by Anonymous

In August of 2005 I decided it was time to loose the extra weight I had been carrying around since I had broken both of my feet two years earlier. Aside from cutting out excess fat and calories from my diet, I started lifting weights and doing cardiovascular exercise five days a week. I am now 75 pounds lighter, however, have gained quite a bit of weight in muscle. I know that I would not have obtained these results without weight training. I have no excess skin anywhere, even under my arms! The keys to my successful weight loss have been eating six small meals a day (approx. 300-400 calories each), a whole lot of patience (it took my two years to gain the weight, so I gave myself at least one year to take it off) and most of all, the weight training. Everyone tells me how I look so healthy and "solid", but I love how strong I am now!
