Skin Care Review: Retin-A (Tretinoin) .01% for Acne

by Angel Bear, n/a, n/a

Retin-A Is Curing My Acne!

I am a young female, and an acne sufferer. I have had mild yet persistent acne for about seven years now. On December 20th, 2002 I recieved a prescription for RETIN-A from my dermatologist. I had already tried benzyol-peroxide, salicilic acid, orithromyacin, birth control pills, topical benzomyacin and about every over the counter remedy/SCAM heard of. Those people should be ashamed of themselves! Preying on our weaknesses and desires to be beautiful in order to sell their bogus worthless products. Anyways, I am on my third week of treatment and I am sooo thankfull I've had the determination to stick with Retin-A through all the hard to deal with side effects such as the worsening of my breakouts, redness, burning and peeling. The side effects as PROMISED BY THE FDA'S STRICT TESTING REQUIREMENTS are wearing off AND my skin gets noticibly better each and every day. My skin is looking so smooth, and soft in the places where the breakout phase has completed..it's so smooth it is almost reflective. (Not tight, like the aftermath of a harsh cleanser) My acne is just about gone...and I have three more weeks to go before the FDA says I will recieve "definite theraputic results". Already I am put at ease, and am looking foreward to the near distant future when I can FINALLY throw away my 100% super duper heaviest coverage possible foundations and concealers layered with foundation powders!! Not only is my skin smoothed and the acne consistently lessening, my sun freckles have faded away and my skin tone has taken on a beautiful creamy color with a slight blushing effect. Please, don't cry anymore over your acne. I know I have countless times, for I have always thought I was very pretty until I developed acne. I ruined my self esteem with all the make-up. MY ADVISE TO YOU: Go to a dermatologist...and settle for NO SUBSTITUTE OF RETIN-A. RETINOL IS NOT RETIN-A...UNLESS IT IS "FDA APPROVED FOR THE TREATMENT OF ACNE" DON'T BUY IT...FOR GOD'S SAKE!! Don't let them prey on our emotions and sadness---why??? Because WE ARE ALREADY BEAUTIFUL AND WE ARE INFORMED, NOW.
