Skin Care Review: Clinique Acne Solutions 3-steps

by Regina

Rating
Satisfactory

Benefits
Surprisingly smooth skin after applying a moisturizer.

Drawbacks
Too harsh on a skin, over-drying effect.

Details
Ok. So I'm 24 years old white girl...Was experimenting with various products for general facial care and for acne treatment for a long time. Since I came to USA 3 years ago, my skin just changed. I have combination to oily skin, and having heard about Clinique and just decided to give it a shot.

Well, the first step - cleanser - was ok, then toner and moisturizer. The toner I was expected to be alcohol free or something (but I guess I was mistaken), but it clearly smelled like one. So I thought - whatever, probably it's supposed to be like that.

After applying moisturizer my skin felt amazingly smooth...And with happy thoughts I went to bed. I repeated this routine for 2 days and then noticed something. My chin line started itching... I clearly thought it should be one of the products - but which one? So after another couple of days I figured it out - the "amazing" moisturizer. I was upset...In addition to that the toner was drying my t-zone, it just didn't feel right.

But, I'm not a quitter! So I gave it a rest, about a week, then I started using slowly one by one each product, slowly mixing them together...NOPE...Back to old story. No clearing, probably got couple of pimples because of that, no happy satisfying results...It's too late to return it, so, let it wait for better days. (trying Neutrogena now, we'll see)

Conclusions
It's all personal. Try and maybe it'll work for you.
