Did clear my severe case of adult cystic acne that was causing serious scarring.

Drawbacks
Toxic on liver, Also gave me frequent blepharitis (swollen infections of the eyelid).

Even though this drug was a "miracle" for me (I was 25 years old, I had massive, ugly cysts on my face that left pox and pick scars and I didn't leave the house unless necessary due to embarassment).I had tried numerous oral antibiotics for years and about every prescripton cream, none of them really did anything noticeable to improve my condition--Accutane did stop my acne, but after about 5 yrs of remission, I am now in my mid 30's and my acne is back. Ok, not to the severity it was in my mid 20's, but bad enough to scar and damage my self-esteem.

Conclusions
Personal choice. I don't think the adverse reactions were worth the "temporary fix."
