I have been using Clearasil Acne Scrub for about two years now, in conjunction with an alcohol-based toner and Clearasil acne spot treatment. Although when I first began using the products, with the combination of alcohol and benzoyl peroxide, my skin was very dry and slightly sensitive to touch and the sun, my acne swiftly cleared up and while my skin is imperfect, my skin imperfections have decreased drastically. I do feel that it's important to not just use the cleanser, as it only clears your skin of surface oils and impurities, but also to utilize a toner that can clean up remaining dirt that is left behind by your cleanser. In addition, I have found that the spot treatment is at least as important because it uses a concentrated formula of 10% benzoyl peroxide that is far less abrasive on the skin than things like salicylic acid. It is also important while using these strong products to follow up with an oil-free moisturizer with an SPF of 15 to help protect your skin, not only from being sunburned, but also from receiving wrinkles that can result from being damaged by UV rays. It also will help with any dry skin that may result from adopting this skin cleaning regimen.

This regimen worked better for me than ProActive!
