I bought the cream Lancome Re-surface two months ago and have been using it every night. I believe my skin is looking smoother and the liver spots on my face have faded somewhat. I have had no adverse reaction - not even an initial tingling - although I have a history of skin allergy and eczema on the rest of my body, which has subsided in recent years. On top of that cream, I put on a regular moisturizer with no active ingredients. I do not know the extent of the "placebo" effect as I bought the product because it said it delivered the active ingredient in nanocapsules which is small enough to penetrate the skin and reach the cells. I am 54 years of age
