Skin Care Review: Arbonne NutriMin C RE9 System

by Debra, Lake Balboa, CA, USA

Rating
Adverse Effects

Benefits
None that I can think of

Drawbacks
Completely changed my skin's texture and left me with a chemical burn

Details
I got a "facial" at an Arbonne "Party" with the whole line of NutriMin C RE9 products and by the time I had gotten to the masque, my skin was burning badly. I removed the masque and the rep assured me that it was just the tingle of my skin being stripped of all the dirt and toxins (even though it felt like it was being stripped on the skin itself) and that the toner and lotions would help settle it down.

Anyway, my skin continued to burn and by the next morning, I was ultra oily and a day later, I broke out in painful cyst-like acne. The oil lasted for about 8 weeks and the burning kept up for about 6 weeks and left a small red patch of scar tissue on my face that I can only hope will go away with time....its been close to 12 weeks so I am trying to keep positive about it.

Before the "facial" I never had any skin problems - being lucky in the genetics department, I always had smooth, even skin and don't have to wear foundation (FYI, I am 36 years old). My skin care regimen was simple, glycerin soap and a buff puff. Now, my skin is oily, I break out daily and my pores are very visible - controlling blackheads is now a challenge. Since I never had to use much other than my glycerin soap, I have no idea where to look for new products to deal with the mess on my face.

A word of caution.....after the facial started burning me, I started looking at the bottles to check out the ingredients and....oops...no ingredients list! Can you say ILLEGAL?

Thanks Arbonne!

Conclusions
With no ingredients list - think twice.
