When I first went for microdermabrasion, I didn't really know what to expect. I thought it would provide a more dramatic change than it did. However, my skin was smoother, lines diminished, especially around my eyes and chin, and my freckles almost completely gone. I love the way my skin feels after a series of treatments. My doc also prescribed me a 10% hydroquinone cream that was compounded at my pharmacy to lighten my freckles. The actual procedure involves a device that shoots out small micro-sized crystals onto your skin and almost simultaneously sucks them back up. The treatments are little uncomfortable initially, but I got used to it after my first or second time. Afterwards the aesthetician will rub your face down with a nice lotion or cream to soothe your skin.

I would recommend this procedure to anyone looking to improve their complexion.
