I have 2 small hyperpigmented areas on my face that I had treated with the Palomar 1540 laser. I premedicated before the procedure with Lortab which helped. My face became very red and swollen immediately after the procedure. I had a "gentle wave" IPL after the laser treatment. I could not apply makeup for 48 hrs. & did not work the day after the procedure. I used ice which helped. The following day, my face looked much better. My skin is somewhat smoother now & the areas are slightly lighter, but still present.

Conclusions
I will have another Palomar treatment Ice & pre-medication are a must.
