Skin Care Review: Mederma

by Judy, Pasadena, CA, USA

No effect

Easily available, relativly cheap

Didn't do anything! And it's visible when dried, looks like a patch of Elmer's glue.

Though Mederma was highly rated, it didn't do anything for my many tiny acne scars. Maybe it's intended for larger or deeper scars, but if it can't work on scars the size of enlarged pores how could it handle a bigger challenge. Plus it's a big pain to apply it 3-4 times a day, and after 3 of the 6 months they ask for I gave up. Also, they say not to use on 'open wound.' Since I have very mild - but constant - acne, that was hard to avoid. I'm moving on to SkinCeuticals Phyto+ because I was given a sample of some other stuff of theirs (bare mineral ID?) and it really makes my skin glow, without looking shiny or accentuating the uneven texture.

4 times a day for 3 months, zero results - don't bother!
