I received 5 Fraxel treatments in hopes of achieving a considerable improvement in facial acne scarring. However, it is now 7 months since my last treatment and my scars show no noticeable improvement. Collagen production post Fraxel is supposed to last up to 6 months, so I know my scars are not going anywhere. Not only was Fraxel ineffective on my scarring, but I still have redness on my face where it was lasered. You can see a defined borderline where the red lasered area and white untreated skin meet. The only lasting redness I was warned about was the sunburn effect you have for about a week post treatment. Seems mine lasted a little longer....is it ever going away? Well, my dermatologist gave me a prescription for a gel that treats rosacea and threw in 2 free Photorejeuvenation treatments for my trouble. Surprisingly, the 2 free Photorejeuvenations made my skin look more glowing than Fraxel ever did! Was I recommended the wrong laser? However, the redness is STILL not going anywhere!!!!! AND, I have developed depressions in the sensitive skin around my nose, which also happens to be one of the most red/discolored areas, probably very damaged. I thought Fraxel was supposed to improve lines and aging, not speed them up!!!! My dermatologist said the depressions "probably weren't even there" and I was just seeing them due to the redness. I am sure she won't deny them when I have to go back for fillers!! Thank you for the naso-labial depressions and "rosacea" Fraxel. You officially ruined a 23 year old face.

Conclusions
I now feel a million times worse about my appearance than I did before.
