Skin Care Review: Clinique Scruffing Lotion 2.5

by Anonymous, Boston, MA USA

Adverse Effects

Supposed to deep clean and exfoliate the skin.

Seemed to dry out my skin, and gradually I began to have more clogged pores.

This product contains a lot of alchohol. It seemed to work at first (although it took skin off my fingers), but over the weeks I seemed to get a lot more clogged pores. I have stopped using it and my skin is slowly improving. Honestly, it could be that I should have used it only once a day instead of twice....but the directions stated twice. Also, I noticed after washing that my skin always appeared inflamed. For years (and with other products) I have assumed that this was just par for the course, but I have begun to wonder if all these products are just too irritating to my skin.

I'm going to investigate gentler products and see what happens.
