Recently I decided I wanted to switch out the Herbal Essence Facial Wash I had been using for a new product. I was interested in starting a new skin care routine, incorporating a cleanser, exfoliant, and moisturizer. I saw the Aveeno in the store, and it seemed like a pretty good product. I have known a few people who have used Aveeno in the past and were very happy with it. I picked up the Positively Radiant Cleanser, the Skin Brightening Daily Scrub exfoliant, and an oatmeal Balancing Bar for combination skin (like mine). I've tried all KINDS of products in the past--cleansers, exfoliants with apricot and seeds, mud masks, cucumber masks, toners--nothing has ever really worked consistently. But I have to say that after a couple of weeks, I am THRILLED about Aveeno! I have combination skin--oily in the T-zone and on my cheeks, and dry close to my noze and above the corners of my mouth. Recently I had been having breakouts, and my skin just seemed dull and lifeless. I don't wear foundation or powder unless it's a special occasion, and it's important to me to keep my skin looking as flawless as possible because of this.

Usually when I use a skin care product, the effects last about 15 to 20 minutes. Then the oil breaks out again, and I look like I need to wash my face. But with the Aveeno, I still look like I just washed my face at the end of the day! That's saying a LOT for me. The Aveeno leaves my skin baby soft, literally, and it looks very clear, clean, and bright. It smells so great--my fiance can't stop kissing my cheeks! I know that you have to be careful with exfoliants, and a lot of people recommend using products with beads instead of, say, walnut shells or seeds. The Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub has microbeads, and it says it's gentle enough to use every day. I've started out using it 3 or 4 times a week, and I can't tell you how much I love it. It makes my face look so radiant and clean! I literally can't wait to wash my face at night. I haven't tried the Balancing Bar yet, but I'm looking forward to it! Seeing the positive results of the facial products has made me interested in other products in the Aveeno line as well. For now, however, I am completely satisfied with the cleanser and exfoliant, and my new soft, smooth face!
