Skin Care Review: Clinique clarifying lotion
by lily, new york, NY
removes oil, dirt, and makeup well
it dries out the skin too much
I have oily skin and decided to try the range of Clinique products on it on the recommendation of a detmatologist friend. It worked fine for the first few weeks -- no real change in my skin either way -- but then i started to notice that the skin on my nose was starting to peel. Extra moisturizer didn't fix the problem, and it wasn't until I stopped using the clarifying lotion altogether that the peeling finally stopped. This particular part of the three-step process might work better for someone else, but it wasn't great for my skin. The cleansing bar worked fine, and the moisturizer is okay, if a little bit oily for my taste. The clarifying lotion (really a toner) is the only one of the three products that had an adverse effect on my skin.
There's too much alcohol in this product, even for oily skin.
