Skin Care Review: Paula's Choice 2% Beta Hydroxy Acid Lotion

by Anonymous

Smoother skin, smaller pores, less acne

may be too moisturizing during warmer months

I have been using this product for 2+ years with great results. I have combination skin with an oily T-zone and suffered from mild to moderate acne. This product has helped keep my skin smooth, and relatively acne-free (though I use it in combination with other products, namely a 2.5 benzoyl product solution also made by Paula's choice, as well as her 8% AHA gel). It is a light, odorless lotion that dries to a relatively matte finish. I have experienced no irritation with this product, but I do not have exceptionally sensitive skin. However, I doubt that but the most sensitive of skin types (or those allergic to aspirin or salicylic acid) would experience such a reaction. On the contrary, I find this product soothing.

I would recommend this product to those looking for a gentle exfoliant.
