Skin Care Review: Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

by Jasmine, Singapore Singapore

Exfoliates dead skin effectively; Gentle on skin; Brightening Effect; Last a long time

Rather Pricey

This unique Rice-based enzyme powder microfoliates dulling debris and instantly leaves the skin noticeably smoother and brighter.

Removes dull surface debris to reveal brighter, smoother skin. Stimulates cell renewal for improved suppleness. Sufficiently gentle for daily use. Skin-brightening ingredients help balance uneven pigmentation. Works for all skin types.

Cleanse with prescribed Dermalogica cleanser. Dispense about a half-teaspoon of Daily Microfoliant into very wet hands, and create a creamy paste by rubbing hands together. Apply to face in circular motions, avoiding the eye area. Massage gently for one minute, then rinse thoroughly.

Rice Bran and Rice extract gently microfoliate skin surface to facilitate penetration of the brightening complex. Papain Enzyme and Salicylic Acid help dissolve excess surface cells. Brightening complex of Licorice and Bearberry helps even skin tone.

I have acne prone skin that is oily yet sensitive. As such, my skin cannot take harsh scrubs as they damage my skin even more, causing it to produce more oil. Often, people say that if you are pimple afflicted, scrubbing can make matters worse. This is true to some extent. However, the Daily Microfoliant is less a scrub than a gentle exfoliant which works wonderfully well!

It comes in powder form. When rubbed together with your wet hands, it forms a lathery paste which has VERY microscopule grains in it. When gently massaged on your face and then washed off, you will be amazed with the results.

Skin is instantly smooth, clean and clear. Yet, it does not cause discomfort or tightness, unless you scrubbed too hard and too long.

While it is almost magical in this aspect, it is important to note that smoothness does not stay for over a day because dead skin collects again, in my experience.

As such, I use it daily, as the name suggests. I have been using it for about a year and the effects are wondrous. While I am acne prone, this product has reduced my breakouts to a minimum as it cleans away dead skin cells ensuring that I do not have blocked pores.

My skin is much healthier and I have less problems. While it might seem pricey, I must tell you that one bottle lasts for a LONG time. You only need a little each time so this is one of the cheapest and most effective exfoliaters I've used. My bottle which I have been using for a year is still one third full. This is a true winner.

Exfoliation is an important process to achieve clear skin. This is by far, the best exfoliater I've used. I'd say, go for it!

Use once a day or once every alternate day for best, glowing results! Two thumbs way up
