Skin Care Review: Dermalogica Microfoliant

by Barb Rishaw

Exfoliation, skin-brightener, evens skin tone, reduces appearance of aging.

Price, could provoke some irritation in very sensitive skin.

Dermalogica's Microfoliant is a rice bran-based powder designed to be used on most skin types.

It's gentle enough to be used daily on all but the most sensitive skin. It's easy to apply and use, nor have I experienced any irritation or other adverse effects from this product.

The secret seems to be in the very fine-grained consistency of this scrub--finer than baking soda. It also rinses away completely with water and leaves no lingering traces on one's skin.

The rice powder formulation also seems to have some anti-irritant properties, as I've noticed less redness with daily use.

Daily use does seem to create brighter, more even, and more youthful appearing skin.
