Skin Care Review: Strivectin-SD eye cream

by cheryl abel

Rating
No effect

Benefits
didn't notice any. to be fair, i should have tested one side of my face over time.

Drawbacks
expensive.

Details
when i hit menopause, my skin started aging. i purchased strivectin-SD eye cream, which is just like the face cream minus some menthol or something insignificant that you can't put near your eyes. so i could use it on both places. i didn't notice a difference, and it didn't stop my skin from aging which seems to be accelerating so i can't tell if it's doing any good. a friend told me that i should have gotten the more expensive, serious strivectin stuff (i think it's for scars). i'm so dispirited and, being a teacher, i don't make that much. i'm trying to keep the aging bastard outside my door with Clarins face treatment oil. (dr. haushka has it too, but i'm afraid to look at the price. i liked the sample.) and i use roc from the drug store. i was using roc actif pur night and day until my mother told me to get the heavier duty stuff, the "retinol correxion, deep wrinkle" stuff. so i wonder, why the hell do these companies (strivectin, roc, etc.) bother selling the lower strength stuff????? there's probably a good explanation, but, to prevent anxiety, i wish they put a caution on the cover that says "Caution: we might have a heavier duty cream that would help you more"--or something to that effect. okay, i know i'm being ridiculous. but maybe you get my frustration.

Conclusions
why bother with lightweight strivectin instead of their serious stuff for scars!?
